I am a certified professional instructor with over 20 years of experience teaching lessons. I have a BM degree from Baldwin-Wallace College, a BME degree from SUNY College at Fredonia and a Master's degree from SUNY at Buffalo. I teach primarily piano (keyboard), oboe, saxophone and clarinet but I also teach flute, bassoon and beginning trumpet and trombone. I teach at my home studio in East Amherst, NY. I also have a waiting area for parents and siblings, so no waiting in the car on a cold winter day! I offer yearly recitals and holiday parties for students and their guests. My lessons are fun, motivating, and I cater to the needs of the students, not just simply my needs. My cats are always happy to lend an ear or offer to investigate what my students are doing. I have not had any problems from people allergic to cats, but if you have any concerns, they can be temporarily relocated to a different room in the house.
In addition to teaching lessons, I teach band and general music in Niagara Falls, NY and I play in several local ensembles including the Southern Tier Symphony Orchestra, the Tonawanda Legion Band, the Erie County Wind Ensemble, the Amherst Symphony Orchestra, and I play in several pit orchestras for Musicals around Western NY.
